CORSICAN BEACH WITH A PERFECT BALANCE

Flamenco Beach in Culebra is set apart by its wide, crescent-shaped bay, where calm, clear water meets a long stretch of soft white sand. The curve of the shoreline offers protection from stronger currents, so the water tends to stay calm and easy to swim in. The beach is broad, with plenty of space even during busier times, which adds to its appeal. A rusted tank from past military use remains on the sand now covered in graffiti and often photographed. Getting there by ferry or a short flight keeps it connected, but still a step removed from the mainland. Basic facilities are available without taking away from the setting. It has that classic Caribbean feel with a bit of character that makes it stand out.

THE PERFECT DAY AT Santa Giulia

  • WIND

Look for days where the wind will be blowing from behind the beach towards the water, as well as days with little to no wind.

  • HIGH SEASON

High season peaks in July and August, and Santa Giulia is much busier during those months than it is at other times of the year. June and September are a great compromise with less crowds and excellent weather.

  • CALM SEAS

The Mediterranean is much calmer from June through October, which is the best time of year to visit Santa Giulia.

  • TIME OF DAY

Due to the popularity of European beaches in summer, we recommend visiting Santa Giulia fairly early in the morning to enjoy it without it being very crowded.
